Meet Blue Collar Wifey: Artisan Loose Leaf Tea for the Other Half of the Day
Blue Collar Ranch Coffee has always been about fuel for hard workers. The early shift. The long haul. The job site before sunrise. The ranch chores that do not care what the weather is doing.
Now we’re proud to introduce something for the other half of the day: Blue Collar Wifey Artisan Loose Leaf Tea.
This new tea line is for the people who keep this country running, and the people who keep them going. It’s for the cup that goes in your hand after the boots come off, the kettle that gets going after a long shift, and the warm mug waiting on the kitchen table before anybody else is up.
And yes, it’s a little different from what you might expect from Blue Collar Ranch Coffee. That’s fine by us. The ranch runs on coffee, but the ranch house runs on tea.
Why Tea, and Why Now?
Coffee fuels the workday. Tea owns the edges of the day.
It belongs on the porch when the sun is dropping, at the kitchen table after the animals are fed, or during that quiet stretch before the rest of the house wakes up. It’s the drink you reach for when you want something warm but don’t need another pot of coffee at 8 p.m.
For years, customers and their families kept asking for something for the person at home who drinks tea instead. Blue Collar Wifey is our answer.
This is a new venture under the Blue Collar Wifey banner, tied to the same family and the same standards of honest products, hard work, and real people. There’s no tea snobbery here and no need for a fancy vocabulary test. Just good loose leaf tea made for real life.

Blue Collar Wifey is not a replacement for your morning coffee and it isn’t trying to compete with it. If you need coffee for the start of the day, we’ve still got you covered with options like Breakfast Blend. If you want a coffee with a little more character for a slower cup, check out Whiskey Barrel.
Tea is simply the other half of the day.
What Does Artisan Loose Leaf Actually Mean?
Loose leaf tea is tea without the tiny paper bag doing all the talking.
Instead of relying primarily on the dust and fannings commonly found in standard tea bags, loose leaf uses whole leaves and broken leaf pieces. With more room to move, the leaves can unfurl in the water, giving the cup more opportunity to develop body and flavor.
Whole leaf goes further
Because the leaves are not packed tightly into a small bag, they can often be resteeped two or three times, depending on the blend and your taste. That means a 3-ounce pouch can go farther than it may look sitting on the shelf.
Small batch means hands-on
Blue Collar Wifey teas are hand-blended and packed in small batches rather than mass produced. That artisan approach fits the way we do things: pay attention to what you’re making, keep it honest, and send out something you’d be proud to serve at your own table.
No staples, strings, or paper
There are no staples, strings, or paper bags to deal with. You control how much tea goes into the cup and how strong you want it to be. You’re also not paying for extra packaging that gets used once and thrown away.
Now, loose leaf does ask a little more from you. You’ll need an infuser, strainer, or another way to separate the leaves from the finished tea. You’ll also need to give it about four minutes.
That’s not a flaw. The ritual is part of the point, and it’s still less work than fixing a gate in the rain.
How to Brew Loose Leaf Without Overthinking It
You do not need a laboratory, a cabinet full of gadgets, or a degree in tea mechanics.
Start with about 2.5 grams of tea, or roughly one rounded teaspoon, per 12 ounces of water. A kitchen scale is handy if you have one, but a teaspoon works just fine.
Water temperature
- 212°F: Black teas, chai, herbal blends, and rooibos blends
- 175–185°F: Green and jasmine teas
Green and jasmine teas should be brewed below boiling so they stay smooth instead of turning bitter. For black, chai, herbal, and rooibos teas, freshly boiled water is the way to go.
Steep times
- Herbal, rooibos, and chai: 4–6 minutes
- Black tea: 3–5 minutes
- Green and jasmine tea: 2–3 minutes
These are starting points, not commandments. If you like a stronger cup, use a little more tea or steep it longer. If it’s too strong, use less tea or shorten the steep time. There is no “correct” cup. There’s only yours.
An infuser basket, a teapot with a strainer, or even a French press will work. You do not need special equipment. If you can heat water and set a timer, you’re already most of the way there.
The Lineup
The full Blue Collar Wifey Artisan Loose Leaf Tea collection is now live. Every tea comes in a 3-ounce pouch for $17.
The Cozy and Caffeine-Free

Apple Cider Rooibos Tea (Caffeine Free) is a naturally caffeine-free blend built on rooibos, also known as South Africa’s Red Bush Tea. Warming cinnamon, bright orange peel, and a touch of licorice root create a spicy, fruity, naturally sweet cup with medium body, like premium apple cinnamon French toast in a mug. Steep 4–6 minutes at 212°F using 2.5 grams per 12 ounces.
Hibiscus Berry Tea (Caffeine Free) brings bright hibiscus and berry character to a caffeine-free herbal blend. It’s a colorful, lively choice for anyone who wants a flavorful cup without caffeine, whether served hot or poured over ice.
The Classics

English Breakfast Tea is the dependable black tea standard: bold, direct, and built for a strong start. It’s the kind of cup that works well with milk or sugar and does not need a speech before it gets to work.
Earl Gray Tea is black tea with bergamot, giving the cup a clean, classic citrus character. It’s familiar, reliable, and easy to make part of a morning or afternoon routine.
Jasmine Tea pairs green tea with jasmine for a floral, light cup. Brew it below boiling to keep the flavor smooth, and consider resteeping the leaves to experience how the cup changes.
The Bold and Spiced

Masala Chai Tea is a spiced black tea blend with a warming, full-bodied character. It’s excellent with milk and honey, especially when the weather turns cold and the kitchen needs something that smells like comfort.
Moroccan Mint Tea brings a bright mint character to the cup. It’s refreshing served hot and works well over ice when the day is warm.
The Sweet and Fruity
Peach Paradise Tea is a bright, summery, peach-forward blend. It’s an easy choice for a refreshing cup when you want fruit character without making the whole production complicated.
Mango Treat Tea is a tropical, sweet mango blend with a naturally sunny personality. Try it hot when you want a comforting cup or chilled when you need something refreshing.
Tea for the People Who Work
This tea was made for the real-world spaces where people work, wait, recover, and get ready to do it all again.
It’s for the evening-shift wind-down when you still want something warm but not another hit of caffeine. It’s for the early riser in the house who does not drink coffee. It belongs in a thermos at hunting camp, on a cold morning in the job trailer, or in the cup holder during a long drive.
It’s for the truck driver who has reached hour twelve and wants something hot without adding more caffeine to the situation. It’s for the ranch-house kitchen after the animals are fed and the day finally gets quiet.
And it’s for the retiree or spouse who has been settling for grocery-store tea bags and is ready for a better cup without the fuss.
No gimmicks. Just tea that fits the people and places we know.
How to Store Loose Leaf Tea
Keep your tea sealed and away from light, heat, and moisture. If you transfer it from the pouch, use an airtight container.
Tea also absorbs strong smells, so store it away from spices, onions, and coffee. Whole leaf tea keeps well, but its flavor will fade over time. Buy a size you can reasonably finish and keep the pouch closed between cups.
